General Practice

What is General Practice? Who is a GP? “Its the doctors you go to when your sick right? Actually I only need to go to the doctors if I have some long term medical condition like Diabetes, I need to see the GP and get a referral to see my “Specialist” right?”

Yes. No. A Lot more… Its complicated. A fully qualified GP is a medically qualified doctor(Medical Practitioner), who has undergone specialist training in a medical specialty called “General Practice”. Dr Jayaguhan Chelladurai has completed the Fellowship programme by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). The Australian General Practice training is one of the best and a world class training. We are trained on a breadth of conditions from conditions such as cold/flu, simple injuries  to conditions such as diabetes, heart failure besides things such as skin cancers, mental health conditions etc. “So are you saying a GP can fix all my problems?” We can help you with most medical conditions, and if not, we can certainly point you in the right direction . . .

“I am very interested. But I need to know I can trust you”. You may check our credentials here for Dr Jayaguhan Chelladurai. Family Medicine Umina Beach is an accredited General Practice by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
